I get asked all the time how to lose weight in certain body areas like belly, thighs, arms or face.

And while there are workouts that involve those certain muscles, the weight loss rule of thumb is this:

If you reduce your body fat in general, you will also lose weight in those problem areas that you have.

It works like this because your body decides where to store its fat deposits, and it also decides where to burn the fat from.

And it tends to do so in a balanced, calculated way, so that you don’t end up with a skinny lower body and fatty upper body.

As a matter of fact – have you ever seen a fat cyclist?

The answer is no, even though she only works with her legs. The reason is that your body takes fat from ALL of its deposits and it burns it to create energy.
